Rowena N. Bazan, Director

I was born and raised in the Philippines, my family and I became Canadians in September this year. Working with children and serving them is a passion that my heart desires. This is what I love to do. With my 11 years of teaching in the Philippines, it enriched my experience, knowledge and skills in understanding the needs of children. I earned my Master of Science in Physical Education when I was 25. We came to Canada in 2011 full of hope and dreams. With determination I completed the Bridge-to-Teaching Program in Werklund School of Education at University of Calgary and earned my Alberta teaching license in 2014. At present, I am a junior high Physical Education teacher and the Athletic Director of Christ the King Academy, here in Brooks. Promoting lifelong fitness is my major objective as a physical educator.
I am so excited and eager to serve the Brooks children and community through my volunteer services. Thank you SPEC for this opportunity!
