Parent LINK Coordinator –  Part Time

Be part of a team responsible for the development and implementation of Parent LINK services.  Families with children aged 0-6 benefit through five core service areas: early childhood development, parent education, family support, information and referral and Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ).  As the Rural Parent and Tot Coordinator you will be responsible for programming offered in rural communities surrounding Brooks.  Planning and delivering child development and parent education opportunities will be some of the responsibilities of the coordinator.

Skill requirements include: excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), organizing, problem solving and coordinating skills, knowledge of resources available for children and families, diplomacy, the ability to work independently and as a team member and computer proficiency. Occasional pre-scheduled evening and weekend hours are required.

Minimum qualifications include a diploma/degree in Early Childhood or Human Services related field and/or related experience and competency working with children and families. Experience with distinct cultures is a definite asset.

A valid Alberta driver’s license, 3 year Driver’s Abstract are mandatory and prior to final offer Police Record* and CYIM checks, must be provided.  First Aid Certification is required within three months of job commencement (at candidates cost).
