COVID-19 SPEC Response November 10, 2020
Dear Community Members,
To protect our clients, staff, community and health services, SPEC’s doors remain closed to walk-in clients. We will continue to support clients by phone, email, virtually and in person, by appointments only if needed.
All four of SPEC’s four programs – LINKS Newcomers Service, LINKS Community Services Parent Group, Parent Child Assiatance Program (PCAP) First Steps, and Brooks and Region MakerSpace – follow Alberta Health Services (AHS) guidelines. This includes any group activities, Family Fun programming and meetings. Groups are limited in size, COVID-19 screening and sign-in is in place (for staff, volunteers and client participants), hand sanitizing is necessary upon entering and leaving the building, social distancing and masks are mandatory for adults and youth in building’s public or meeting areas. Programming in rural communities remains cancelled until further notice.
We encourage our community to connect with all of our services, but please remember everyone should follow AHS guidelines to reduce risk and slow the spread of Covid-19. We can connect with you by phone or other means if you need support and choose to stay home. We promote ‘Stay Home – Stay Safe’ during our current COVID-19 case status.
